Unit 717. Sometimes I follow trends, and sometimes I don't.

I don't go out of my way to avoid following trends, but I do follow them when they interest me.

English On The Go

I am not a hipster, but I do know some people who actively avoid anything that's mainstream like it's the plague.

And they feel that as soon as something becomes popular, then it can no longer be cool.

Well, I don't mind if something that I enjoy is also enjoyed by the masses.

Now, I don't go out of my way to follow the latest trend or to buy what everyone else is buying just because.

But if something interests me, then it doesn't bother me if everyone else feels the same way.

In fact, sometimes that can even be better.

For example, I love movies.

And there's just nothing quite like going to see a big blockbuster movie on opening night in a packed theater.

But for other movies, it can also be great to go by yourself in a dark movie theater,

and that can be a unique and fun experience, too.

So sometimes I follow trends, and other times I don't.

And I'd like to think that most other people feel the same way.
