I think what he's doing is reaffirming what has been a longstanding United States position.
The real question in my mind is whether or not President Trump will adhere to that longstanding policy or whether he will waterdown in pursuit of a deal.

제 생각에 폼페오 장관은 오래 지속된 미국의 입장을 다시 확인하고 있다고 봅니다.
트럼프 대통령이 이 오랜 정책을 고수할 것인지 아니면 합의하기 위해 입장을 완화할 것인지가 관건입니다.
